Around the Universe with William Prendiz de Jurado
Congratulations on your 50th anniversary of following Miss Universe pageant!

      It is hard to believe that my dear friend William Prendiz de Jurado is celebrating his 50th anniversary with Miss Universe. This is my second Miss Universe pageant that I am sharing with William. Last year, we were in Mexico City, sharing all the glamour and excitement of the pageant. Any question I may have about Miss Universe (or Miss International) William seems to know all of the answers.

      William tells me how much the pageant and world has changed in the last 50 years. His love for pageants has taken him around the world, visiting many of the former titleholders. As a professional hair stylist, he had the honor of doing their hair, and even attended the wedding of a former Miss International's daughter, Gemma Cruz of the Philippines which was held in Mexico City .

      William lets me know whenever he hears from any of them, and tells me with pride and excitement. His wish for this year's Miss Universe is that Colombia win, since it has been 50 years since the country won, the first being the beautiful Luz Marina Zuluaga!
