Miss World Bahamas 2017

Photo credit: Miss Bahamas Organization Geena Thompson , 24, was crowned Miss World Bahamas 2017 on Sunday night, July 30, at the Baha Mar Convention Centre. She represented Long Island. The 1st Princess is Miss Abaco, Sharonique Russel l, 20. The  2nd Princess is Miss Grand Bahama, Jerell Strachan , 17. Thompson will now represent the Bahamas in 2017 Miss World pageant to be held in Sanya, China in November. Completing the top 6 six were Miss  Bimini - Tanisha Jones , Miss  University of the Bahamas - Nyisha Tilus , and Miss  Exuma - October Johnson who advanced due to fan vote. The pageant was streamed live and was hosted by Leslia Miller and Jerome Sawyer.

Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2017

Jessica Baeder , a 17-year-old senior at Auburn High School, won the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen Saturday. Baeder competed against 51 other young women at the Orlando event, a sister program of the Miss America Organization. She was crowned Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen in March, after finishing first runner-up in the state pageant in 2016. In addition to winning the national title, Baeder also received the Teens in Action award for most outstanding community service. Earlier in the week, Baeder won her talent preliminary for her ballet on pointe to "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." In addition to talent, Baeder competed in private interview, evening gown/onstage question, lifestyle and fitness and scholastic achievement. Baeder won $30,000 in prizes and scholarships. First runner-up in the event was Georgia Outstanding Teen Annie Swan ; second runner-up was Maryland Outstanding Teen Chloe Wildman ; third runner-up was Texas Outstanding Tee

Miss Teen USA 2017

Sophia Dominguez-Heithoff, a 17-year-old high school graduate from Kansas City, Missouri, was crowned Miss Teen USA 2017 on Saturday night, July 29, at Symphony Hall in Phoenix, Arizona.  Her court includes: 1st runner-up -  Oregon - Vanessa Matheson 2nd runner-up - Nevada - Alexis Smith 3rd runner-up - Indiana - Paige Robinson 4th runner- up - California - Jaanu Patel Completing the top 15 semi-finalists were: Arizona - Karly Riggs Iowa - Carley Arnold Maryland - Taylor Spruill New York - Isabella Griffith Oklahoma - Baylee Ogle Texas - Kirby Lindley Utah - Rachel Bell Vermont - Kelsey Golonka West Virginia - Olivia Hutchison Wyoming Wyoming - Autumn Schieferstein Sophia is the second woman from Missouri to win the coveted teen title (the first being Marissa Whitley in 2001). Miss Universe Thailand 2017

Maria Poonlertlarp Ehren was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2017on Saturday, July 29 2017 at Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. She will now represent Thailand at the next edition of Miss Universe whose date and venue have yet to be confirmed. Her court includes first runner-up Supaporn Ritthipreuk , second runner-up Fahsai Paweensuda Drouin, third runner-up Suraprin Artkongharn , and fourth-runner-up Ratchanok Naowaset .

Man Of The World 2017

Egypt's Mostafa Galal Mohammed Elezali was crowned as the first Man of the World, defeating 27 other contestants during the finals of the newest male pageant held July 28 at One Esplanade in Pasay City, Philippines. His court include first runner-up   Nguyen Huu  Long of Vietnam and second runner-up   Abou Sahyoun Wassim representing Palestine. Completing the top five were the representatives from Guam and Moldova. The pageant is produced by  Prime Event Productions Philippines Foundation, Inc. (PEPPS Foundation) which also runs other pageants for men.

Miss Universe Great Britain 2017

  Anna Burdzy , 25, was crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2017 on July 15 at the Riverfront in Newport, Wales. It was Burdzy's third attempt for the title (she was first runner-up in 2014). Her court includes first runner-up Saffron Jade Corcoran and second runner-up was Vicky Turner . Completing the top 5 were Samantha Hancock and Maria Wilkes . Leila Lopes , Miss Universe 2011, was one of the judges. Miss & Mr. England 2017

Stephanie Hill , competing for the fourth time, has been finally crowned Miss England 2017 in Birmingham on July 14. She will now compete in the Miss World finals in Sanya, China in November. The first runner-up is  Rachel Pitman while the second runner-up is   Olivia Green . Hill was crowned by her predecessor, Elizabeth Grant .  Photo credits: David Freeman ____________________________________ In a separate event  held at Resorts World Birmingham , Jack Eyers of Dorset has been chosen as Mr. England 2017. Jack Heslewood and Zac Oldershaw placed second and third respectively. Eyers makes history by being the first amputee to have won a national title. Miss World Australia 2017

Esma Voloder , a 25-year-old model and college graduate from Melbourne, was crowned  Miss World Australia 2017 on July 14 at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne.  The first runner-up is  Amy-Lee Dixon of Western Australia and the second runner-up is   La'Ace De Vries of Queensland. Voloder will now represent Australia in Miss World 2017 pageant to be held in Sanya, China in November. Voloder, who was born in Austria and of Bosnian descent, was last year's first runner-up at the national pageant. She had also competed in Miss Supranational  where she placed in the top ten.

New Austrian Queens For 2017

 On July 6, Austria crowned three new queens for 2017. Celine Schrenk , 19, (center) was crowned Miss Austria 2017 and will represent her country in the next edition of Miss Universe pageant whose date and venue have not yet been announced.  The first runner-up, Sarag Chvala , 22, (left) was crowned Miss World Austria 2017 and will compete in Miss World 2017 finals to be held in November in Sanya, China. Bianca Kronsteiner , 19, (right) was crowned Miss Earth Austria 2017 and will represent her country in Miss Earth 2017 finals in the Philippines on November 4.

New Salvadoran Queens For 2017 & 2018

On July 7  during the finals of Reinado de El Salvador 2017 pageant , four new queens were crowned to represent their country in various international pageants for 2017.   Allison Abarca , 21, was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2017 and will compete in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant whose date and venue are still to be confirmed. Metzi Solano, 26, was crowned  Miss International El Salvador 2017 and  will compete in Miss International 2018 pageant in Japan in November 2018; however, the pageant's age limit is 25 and Solano will be 27 when she competes next year - which may impede her from competing altogether, according to the admin of the Facebook page, Bellezas de El Salvador. Katya Lobos, 26, was crowned the Miss Supranational El Salvador 2017 title and will compete in Miss Supranational 2018 to be held in Poland in December. Like Solano, Lobos may not be able to compete as the maximum age for Miss Supranational is 27. Meanwhile  Gabri

New Aruban Queens For 2017

During a private ceremony on July 4, 2017 attended by family, friends and the franchise owner, 26-year-old Alina Mansur (above) has been appointed as Miss Universe Aruba 2017 and will now represent her island nation at Miss Universe 2017 pageant whose date and venue are yet to be confirmed.  At the same event,  Anouk Eman was appointed as Miss World Aruba 2017 and will compete at Miss World 2017 to take place in Sanya, China in December.   Thanks to Karl Genser for this information.
