What I Think Of Transgender And Ethnic Pageants

I had the pleasure of guesting at the Polish American Brotherhood channel hosted by Tara Anne Szczepanski who herself has several pageant titles under her belt. The podcast was live streamed on April 6, 2021 starting at 9:00 PM EST. Tara and I discussed the issues surrounding transgender pageants and transgender women competing in traditional female pageants. We also discussed heritage pageants that specialize in promoting one's ethnic/racial/cultural background such as Miss Black America. Other topics discussed include COVID-19, the recent Miss Eco International COVID scandal, plus-size contestants, Miss America, Miss Earth, Miss World, and Miss Universe. COVID-19 Scandal At Miss Eco International 2020

Dr. Amaal Rezk has gone AWOL      Less than 48 hours after the coronation of South Africa's Gizzelle Uys as Miss Eco International 2020 in Egypt, the news broke out on social media claiming that several of the contestants have contracted COVID-19.      Apparently, the pageant owner herself Dr. Amaal Rezk is also positive but didn’t tell anyone about it. Now these contestants are crying foul because they feel that the organization has abandoned them, and that they have to stay in Egypt indefinitely and pay for their own accommodations. When I was watching the live stream of the pageant, I did notice that not too many people in the audience were wearing mask or following social distancing. This is so revolting and irresponsible of the organization not to follow safety guidelines and be transparent about the situation.        Jessica Newton , the national director of Peru for Miss Eco International, is getting tremendous backlash specially from angry Filipino fans after she posted
