Thailand Wins Miss World 2025

Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand has won the title of Miss World 2025. Suchata became visibly emotional. She was crowned the 72nd Miss World in this year’s event that took place at Hitex Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, India which featured contestants from 108 countries.

Kristina Pyszková, who held the Miss World title in 2024, ceremoniously crowned Opal after Thailand was announced the winner by MWO Chair Julia Morley. Hasset Dereje Admassu of Ethiopia and Maja Klajda of Poland secured both the first and second runner-up positions. The third runner-up title was awarded to Aurélie Joachim of Martinique.

Completing the top 8 were the delegates from Brazil, Namibia, Philippines, and Ukraine.

Suchata had competed in Miss Universe 2024 where she placed third runner-up, but on April 22nd, she was dethroned from her position by the Miss Universe Organization for participating in another contest; she was offered the Miss World Thailand 2025 title which she accepted, making her the first Thai woman to represent Thailand in Miss World without actually competing in a national contest.
