Miss Bulgaria 2012 dethroned due to hacked online voting

     Ina Ivailova Mancheva, newly crowned Miss Bulgaria 2012, has been dethroned after the organizers found out that the online vote was manipulated by hackers. Gabriela Vasileva, the first runner-up, was crowned the new Miss Bulgaria 2012  and will represent the country in Miss World 2012 pageant in China this August.

     The announcement was made Thursday by TV7, the organizer of the pageant. According to the report, each vote counted three points for the contestant. After the recheck, there was evident of manipulation and actually Vasileva, the first runner-up, was one point ahead of Mancheva. Moreover, the vote for Mancheva came from strange places such as Pakistan and Bangladesh. The organizer admitted their faults and promised to close online voting system earlier in future’s pageant to have enough time for checking the results.
Speaking about the decision, Mancheva said, “this decision is hurting my self-esteem but made me wiser. This pageant must be honest. I wish Gabriela luck in the world contest. I feel offended because these results had to be checked earlier.”
