Venezuela Wins Miss International 2015

Edymar Martinez Blanco, 20, from Venezuela was crowned Miss International 2015 on November 5th at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. Her victory marks Venezuela's seventh Miss International crown and secures the country's reputation as the most successful country in global pageantry. Above, Edymar is crowned by outgoing queen from Puerto Rico, Valerie Hernandez.

Edymar's court includes from left to right: 3rd runner-up Phạm Hồng Thúy Vân of Vietnam, 1st runner-up Jennifer Valle of Honduras, Edymar, 2nd runner-up Eunice Onyango of Kenya, and 4th runner-up Lindsey Becker of USA. Becker's placement is the best for an American since Amy Lynne Holbrook's second placer in Miss International 2002. Completing the top 10 were Isis Stocco of Brazil, Lorena Sevilla of Mexico, Janicel Lubina of the Philippines, Sasi Sintawee of Thailand, and Sophie Loudon of the United Kingdom.
