Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 Crowned
Thuzar Wint Lwin, 21, has been crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2020. Hailing from Hakha, Myanmar, she is a professional model and a beauty blogger.
The Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 coronation night took place at Novotel Max Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar on December 30, 2020. Aye Chan Moe hosted the ceremony, which was aired on Channel ME.
It was the second edition of Miss Universe Myanmar. Including Thuzar, 35 candidates competed for the crown.
Aside from Thuzar, four more queens were crowned. First runner-up Han Lay, 20, of Myawaddy was crowned Miss Grand Myanmar 2020 while second runner-up May Thazin Oo, 18, of Myitkina was crowned Miss Intercontinental Myanmar 2020.
Racheal, 20, of South Yangon was third runner-up and was crowned Face of Beauty Myanmar 2020. Fourth runner-up Mya San Thidar, 23, of Pathein was World Beauty Queen Myanmar 2020 and fifth runner-up Naw Christine, 19, of Bamaw was Miss Globe Myanmar 2020.
Han was Miss Beautiful Smile while Naw was voted as the Let Me Choose winner. Eaint Chue Thar, 19, of Dawei was Best in National Costume.
Aside from winning the Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 title, Thuzar also won four special awards. She was Miss Photogenic, Miss Healthy Skin, Miss Dentiste Award and Best in Evening Gown.
Thuzar is a student in East Yangon University in Thanlyin, Myanmar. She is studying English and she is in her final year.
The Hakha native will be the 11th woman to represent Myanmar at Miss Universe. All the 10 women who previously represented the Asian country in the international beauty pageant were unplaced.
