Puerto Rico Wins Mr. World 2024

 

NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Vietnam, has just witnessed the most extravagant and electrifying event: The election of Mr. World 2024! In the end, it was Danny MEJIA, Mr. World Puerto Rico, who received the Mr. World sash from the hands of Jack Heslewood, who successfully reigned for the last 5 years.

The new Mr. World is 28 years old, works as a Mortgage Loan Originator, and has graduated with a degree in Health Sciences. As Mr. World 2024, Danny will travel to different countries during his year of reign helping raise funds and promoting social projects supported by Beauty With a Purpose.

Mejia also won the Sport Challenge and Talent competition. Minutes before being elected Mr World, he sang "You Raised Me Up" beautifully next to Vietnam war veterans.

The 1st runner-up was Phạm TUẤN NGỌC, Mr. World Vietnam, who was also named Mr. World Asia. Toni COMPANY TOEPS, Mr. World Spain was the 2nd runner-up and named Mr. World Europe. He was followed by Filipe Salvador MARIA, Mr. World Angola, the 3rd runner-up, and Mr. World Africa.

Other continental titles went to Juan Alberto GARCÍA CALED, from Venezuela who won the title of Mr World Americas. Mr. World Jamaica, Tarique Barrett, is Mr World Caribbean, and Australia's Lochlan Carey is Mr World Oceania.

Mr. World 2024 and the continental winners will stay in Vietnam for a week longer for a media tour.

The Top 10 finalists were: Tomáš HARING, Czech Republic, India, Gokul GANESAN, Kenya, Teddy Rossiter, Venezuela, Juan Alberto GARCÍA CALED, Türkiye, Ege KARABENLI, and Sri Lanka, Megha SOORIYAARACHCHI (People's Choice Winner).

Among the 20 semi-finalists, were the following candidates: Argentina, Tomas GHIGO, Belgium, Nathan De Schepper, Italy, Bruno BARBIERI, Lebanon, Mario EL-HAJJ, Mexico, Alan SALAZAR, Myanmar, Sai Toung Law, Peru, Mickael Jorge Jordan Peña, Philippines, Kirk Bondad, Sierra Leone, Alhaji Mansaray, and USA, Daryn ALEXANDER.

Lương Thùy Linh, Miss World Vietnam 2019, and Venezuelan actor Sandro Finoglio, winner of Mr World 1998, hosted the event. 

Ms. Pham Kim Dung, the Mr. World 2024 hosting country director, and Mr. Hoang Nhat Nam, CEO of Sen Vang Entertainment and show director, took center stage in tonight's event, playing a special role in the show. Sev Vang co-produced Mr. World 2024, alongside the MWO.

The winners of the fast-track events were: 

Daryn ALEXANDER, USA - Head to Head Challenge. 

Daniel Meji, Puerto Rico - Sport Challenge and Talent.

Ege KARABENLI, Türkiye - Top Model.

Bruno BARBIERI, Italy - Multimedia Challenge.

Sai Toung Law, Myanmar - Beauty With a Purpose.

Mr. World South Sudan, Amac Mathiang Ater APUGI. won the Best National Costume Award, chosen by the judges, while Mr. World Sri Lanka, Megha SOORIYAARACHCHI, won the Best National Costume Award chosen by public vote.
